The kick-off event for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life will be held on Thursday, Jan. 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in the seventh floor conference room of the Doctor’s Building.
Food will be served, and information will be provided for anyone interested in having a team in this year’s relay. Teams for Houston County can register during the event. Relay for Life is an annual fundraiser held by the cancer society. For information, call event chair Michael Smith at 701-6189 or Adam O’Brien with the American Cancer Society at 794-0600, ext. 3.
