MOVIES
Movies Under the Stars will be held today at Northcutt Football Field in Dothan’s Westgate Park.
Festivities begin at 7 p.m., and the movie “Bee Movie” will begin at dusk. SouthernLINC Wireless sponsors the free event. Because it’s an outdoor event, Movies Under the Stars will only take place if the weather permits. Attendees can enter “The Fishing Trip of a Lifetime” sweepstakes, an exclusive fishing trip with professional bass fisherman Tom Mann Jr. and television personality O’Neill Williams.
THEATER
The Featured Players Theatre will present “When You Comin’ Back, Red Ryder?” by Mark Medoff for four weeks beginning today.
Set in the summer of 1969 in a diner in New Mexico, the play revolves around a night chef, his co-workers and a group of customers. Admission is $12 for adults; $6 for children. Doors open at 6 p.m. for dinner and the show starts at 7 p.m. Performances will be on Friday and Saturday, July 11-12, July 18-19, July 25-26 and Aug. 1-2.

Opus Nostrum Dinner Theatre at 115 W. Church St. in Headland will stage “Bus Stop” by William Inge and directed by Catherine Ford. Shows will by Friday and Saturdays beginning today and ending Saturday, July 26. Dinner is catered by Bishop’s Homestyle Cooking.
“Bus Stop” revolves around a group of bus passengers stranded during a snow storm at a roadside diner.

SATURDAY, JULY 12
ART
The mosaic artwork of Frederic Lecut is on display at Koinonia Kaffe on the square in downtown Headland. Born in Abbeville, France, Lecut currently resides in Headland. The cafe will hold a Meet the Artist reception on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. The cafe’s regular hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
THURSDAY, JULY 17
ART
Art After Hours will be held at the Wiregrass Museum of Art on Thursday, July 17, from 5-7:30 p.m.
Musician Ryan Kinder of Birmingham, who plays acoustic blues and rock, will perform. The monthly event features live music, hors d’oeuvres, a chilled glass of wine and a collage art project. Art After Hours is held the third Thursday of each month.You must be 18 to enter; a cash bar is available.
Admission is $5 per person; free for museum members.
THURSDAY, JULY 24
Troy University Dothan Community Band will perform July 24 at Landmark Park as part of the Music by Moonlight series. The concert is free and will be held at the park’s gazebo at 7:30 p.m. The community band performs classical and modern music.
