The driver in a fatal single-vehicle crash Sunday in Coffee County reportedly suffered injuries that left him paralyzed, said Alabama State Highway Patrol Sgt. Scott Brasher.
Linda Monaghan, the passenger in the crash, died from the injuries she suffered. Monaghan, 38, of Chancellor, was traveling in a 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Artora Cano. Cano, 36, of Enterprise, was injured during the crash and taken to Flowers Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened about 6:30 p.m. about four miles south of Enterprise on Coffee County Road 728, according to the state trooper’s report.
Charges were pending in the ongoing investigation by State Highway Patrol investigators.
