Less than two hours passed before an Ariton and a Headland resident were charged with burglarizing an Ariton residence on North Highway 123.
Jada T. Julian, 38, of Headland and Patrick H. Terry of Ariton were placed in the Dale County Jail after a relative to the family at the residence saw the alleged burglars on Wednesday, according Dale County Chief Sheriff’s Investigator Harvey Mathis.
A press release said another relative to the people who lived in the residence spotted the vehicle the alleged burglars were driving and contacted the Dale County Sheriff’s Department.
Julian was later found at a gas station, according to the press release. A warrant had been issued for Julian for parole violation.
“Vigilant relatives watching another’s property led to quick identification, arrest, and recovery of stolen property in this case. In addition, with the immediate response of Dale County Sheriff’s Office investigators and deputies, this case was solved quickly,” Mathis said in the press release.
Mathis said sheriff’s investigators Gerald Ganous and Joe Weaver and deputy Adam Williams responded with Mathis to the complaint.
Both Julian and Henry were charged with burglary in the third degree and theft of property in the second degree.
