Wallace public relations department wins awards

The Wallace Community College department of public relations and marketing received six awards in state competition at the Alabama College System Public Relations Association conference.

Sally Buchanan, director of public relations and marketing, placed first in news writing and news placement and second in news placement and marketing campaign. She also won the judge’s award for best news writing and news placement. Laci Meis, public relations and marketing clerk, placed second for black and white photography.

Competition included entries from the state’s 27 two-year colleges and institutions.
