Enterprise City Schools will be closed Monday.
Dothan City Schools Superintendent Sam Nichols said he is taking a wait-and-see attitude.
“We will stay in session for the rest of the day, unless something drastic happens,“ Nichols said. “We are monitoring the weather and will notify parents if school closes.“
Nichols said he spoke with Houston County Superintendent Tim Pitchford this morning and county schools will also remain open unless the weather takes a turn for the worse.
Dale County and Ozark city schools have not canceled classes. Officials are also monitoring the weather there.
Several tornado warnings have been issued Monday morning for the areas of Ozark, Clio, Abbeville, Louisville and Troy.
