The band’s show began about 8 p.m. to a record crowd at BamaJam 2008.
Lynyrd Skynyrd closed their performance with Sweet Home Alabama.
Then came chants from the crowd. Free Bird. Free Bird. Free Bird.
They returned to the stage for an encore performance.

Memories of a Lifetime! Thank you Ronnie Gilley for this dream! Lynyrd Skynyrd was a blast. All 111,000+ crowd was rocking with their entire show! I enjoyed all the concerts we attended for 3 days and nights!
