Sha' Summerlin, the CEO of the styling company PRIMP Agency, has returned to her hometown and birthplace of Enterprise and bringing her brand of "primping" home with her. The National Miss Black USA Pageant named the now Enterprise-based Summerlin the Beauty Director for the pageant for the third year in a row. This makes the professional hair and makeup artists who make up her PRIMP Agency the Official Glam Squad of the Miss Black USA Pageant as well.

Under Summerlin's direction, PRIMP professionals will serve as the hairstylists and makeup artists for the national pageant which will be Aug. 10-12 in both Arlington, Va., and in Washington, D.C. She'll then return home to Enterprise to prepare for the next big production for her and the PRIMP Agency staff.

"It's so good to be home,” Summerlin said. “ I've always been about working with women and girls who are on positive paths, so I'm looking forward to contributing to the pageants and fashion weeks here in Alabama. Plus, we all know pageantry and primping go hand in hand, so I consistently love what I do. I'm also really looking forward to producing a Women's Expo to benefit women in small business and a Runway Show to benefit local food banks in the near future."

Summerlin has been a Cosmetologist and part of the Beauty/Fashion industries for 19 years, but founded PRIMP Agency in 2009 during her last maternity leave. It took off to a promising start right out of the gate. In that relatively short period of time (four years) she has served as a Beauty Director at New York/Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Atlantic City Fashion Week, Fashion Week of North Carolina, The Heart & Soul Awards and her artists have provided some high profile clientele with her brand of primping. They include international tenor Mario Frangoulis, Elder Bernice King (daughter of the Late Rev. Martin Luther King), actresses Vanessa L. Williams, Nicole Ari Parker, Wendy Davis (Army Wives), Cynthia Bailey (Supermodel/Real Housewives of Atlanta star) among others.

Within PRIMP Agency there are 6 freelance hair and makeup artists who reign from Atlanta, Baltimore, Washington, DC and Pennsylvania, an extensive rolodex of artists and a network from Alabama to New York City. Summerlin has faith that with perseverance, quality work and professionalism that PRIMP will continue to grow to it's fullest potential with this expansion to the South and that they can continue to be of service to women of all ages and backgrounds for a long time to come.
