Eufaula Police cars keyed at Walmart

Three police cruisers were damaged Thursday night while parked at Walmart.

Sgt. Larry Hubbard reports the three cars were keyed, possibly as a revenge crime against the department. No arrests have been made, and investigations continue in the case.

Total damage to all three vehicles was approximately $2,450. The vehicles were parked outside Walmart Thursday night for the pre Black Friday sale.

The off duty officers were contracted to provide security and crowd control. All officers were subject to respond to a call if necessary and were in uniform.

  » Other cases of criminal mischief reported this weekend include one on State Docks Road Friday night where two tires were damaged ($200), and one on Edna Street Saturday night where a door knob and door ($75) was damaged.


  » Kerrington Edmonds, 46, of Eufaula was arrested Thursday night and charged with possession of marijuana first degree and narcotic equipment possession.

  » Other misdemeanor and non-drug related arrests include one man arrested for disorderly conduct, one man arrested for giving false name and address to police, two men arrested for public intoxication, and one man arrested for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.


  » Two incidents of harassment were reported this weekend. One occurred Sunday evening at aSouth Eufaula Avenuerestaurant. The other occurred Friday around noon at anEast Broad Streetlocation.

  » Two incidents of domestic violence (harassment) were reported. One occurred Saturday fromSpruce Driveand the other occurred Friday onWinding Way.

  » Domestic violence (assault) was reported Friday night fromOutback Road.


  » A bottle of prescription Klonopin was reported stolen from an individual at a Hwy. 431 location on Wednesday.

  » A washer ($440) was reported stolen from a rental property Saturday but was later returned.

  » Brown women’s boots ($30) were stolen from aSouth Eufaula Avenuedepartment store on Saturday.

  » Money ($35) was stolen from the cash register at Lake City Produce on Friday night.

  » Numerous toys, clothing items and electronics were stolen from a vehicle parked at aGrandville Driveresidence this weekend. The total value of items and money stolen was approximately $5,800.

  » A Playstation 2 console ($40) and a DVD player ($40) were stolen from anEdna Streetresidence on Friday.

  » A purse and its contents ($1.25) were stolen from a vehicle parked at the Beeline Store onSouth Eufaula AvenueSaturday.

  » Several items were stolen from a Wall Street warehouse last week. Items taken include assorted tools ($2,200), two Army back packs ($200), 30 boxes ofAvonproducts ($2,430), a compressor ($175), four security cameras ($350), 35 collectible porcelain plates ($1,285) and two metal doors ($500).
