Charlie Belflower Funeral services for Mr. Charlie Belflower, 55, of Georgetown, Georgia, were held at 2 p.m., CST, Sunday, Feb. 2, at the Georgetown Baptist Church. The Rev. Gerald Caryl-Gordon officiated and burial followed in the Georgetown Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home directing. Mr. Belflower died Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. Born Oct. 20, 1958 in Savannah, Georgia, Mr. Belflower was the son of Charles Kenneth and Barbara Ann Bess Belflower Sr. of Georgetown, Georgia. Charlie was a graduate of The Lakeside School. He received a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from LaGrange College. He received his CPA license in 1987. He met his wife Evon at the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove in Asheville, North Carolina and they were married Oct. 22, 1994. He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, the Gideons, the Georgetown Rotary Club, and the Eufaula Kiwanis Club. He served as Minister at the Comer United Methodist Church, Midway United Methodist Church, Springhill United Methodist Church, Rocky Mount United Methodist Church, Batesville Church and he was active in the jail ministry. Survivors other than his parents are his wife, Evon Belflower; his daughter, Sara Ruth Belflower both of Georgetown, Georgia; his sister, Tracy (Mark) Moshell of Albany, Ga.
