Kenneth Thad Tiner Thad Tiner died early Tuesday morning in South Hills, Virginia unexpectedly. His funeral was held Monday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Blakely, Ga. The Rev. David Lynn officiated. Active palllbearers were Michael Higgenbothem, Buddy Moore, Doug Johnson, Bryon Cliett, Michael Reddick and Bryan Reddick. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Class of 1990. The family received friends during vitiation at Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely, Sunday afternoon, Dec. 15, from 2-4 p.m. Thad was born Aug. 2, 1972 in Blakely, Georgia to Kenneth and Linda W. Tiner of Blakely. He graduated from Early County High School in the Class of 1990. Thad was the Sales Manager for the Atlantic Division of American Buildings Co., working out of the Columbus, Ga. office. He and his family attended the Cascade Hills Baptist Church in Columbus. Other than his parents his survivors include his wife, Summer Kelly Tiner of Columbus, Ga.; three daughter, Jade, Emily and Reagan Tiner, all of Columbus. He has a sister, Brooke T. Jones and her husband Tim of Blakely. His father-in law is Billy Ray Kelly of Slocomb, and his mother-in-law is Sarah Morrow of Dothan. He also is survived by a brother-in-law, Ryan Kelley, of Dothan, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Rally Kids Foundation, an organization that raises money to help children who are fighting cancer.
