'Money would pour in'

I laughed out loud when I read recently about authorizing electronic bingo at more dog tracks after reading that the governor was checking into the authorization of bingo at Country Crossing. If there is going to be gambling in one county, why not in all counties?

People who gamble are going to gamble if it means driving 30 minutes across county lines or an hour across state lines. Dog racing is gambling. In my opinion, the best way to generate money would be a state lottery, dog tracks, electronic bingo and taxing any religious organization that generates more than $100,000 revenue in one year.

The small country churches that don’t bring in much money could be exempt, but the megachurches that bring in millions should have to pay taxes. The money would come pouring in to the federal and state coffers.
