Dislikes Obama

It’s a shame that race relations have not improved in this country 40 years after the marches and the passage of Civil Rights legislation. I would also point out that it is the liberals and Democrats, not the Republicans or conservatives, who are behind most of the race-baiting in the U.S. today.
When David Duke ran for president of the United States in the early 1990s, I, a conservative Christian white man living in Selma, Ala., at the time, opposed him. In fact, I cringed when I found that he was running.
On the other hand, the master shakedown artists, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Maxine Waters, along with the NAACP, the Black Panthers and Louis Farrakhan and his Nation of Islam are behind most, if not all of the race-baiting that goes on in this country.
Now we can count presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama and his pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright ,among them. By the way, Sen. Obama has been trying to convince us all that he is a not a fundamentalist Muslim like some are saying he is, but that he is, in fact, a Christian.
Judging from soundbites from sermons by his pastor, and even comments from his wife, Michele, I can’t say much for their brand of Christianity. I don’t like it. As a matter of fact, race-baiting is not a Christian practice. If they read their Bibles as I do, they will see that it says: “If someone says, ‘I love God’ and hates his brother, he is a liar, for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.” (I John 4:20-21).
It was also disrespectful to God for Mr. Wright to use profanity and even take the Lord’s name in vain from the pulpit. You wouldn’t hear this kind of mess from Tony Evans, nor would you have heard it from the late E.V. Hill.
