Face reality

I tuned in to the Oprah program to find out about “the first pregnant man.” After a few minutes I understood he wasn’t a man, but a woman who had been taking large doses of testosterone to help in the delusion.

She was with a woman who had a hysterectomy, they wanted to have a child together. The bearded woman hadn’t had her uterus removed yet, so she was artificially inseminated.

This situation was disturbing enough, but it got worse — the audience was applauding them. To me this is insane. What’s happened to having boundaries, telling people their behavior is wrong? It’s not like going along with a child’s imaginary tea party. There are people condoning — even encouraging — dangerous, self-debasing behavior. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.

Remove the mask of illusion and face reality. I’m not saying we should ridicule or be hateful, but, speak the truth lovingly. I would encourage people to read Romans, Chapter 1 verses 21 through 31. This will explain a lot. Eternity is a long time to regret choices.
