No ordinary cat

On April 7, all of us at Southeast Alabama Veterinary Hospital lost one of our most important friends and co-workers. His name is Felix and he is a black and white tuxedo cat. Felix was always there and waiting at quitting time for us to fix his basket bed for the night and set out his food and water.

Felix truly was a co-worker in that he seemed able to sense another animals need for comfort, and he would try and provide it by lying next to an animal waking up after surgery or sometimes just staying nearby until all was well.

As Dr. Bain often said, Felix was no ordinary cat. We don’t know what happened to Felix that Monday afternoon. He just seemed to vanish. We saw him only a few minutes before he disappeared. If anyone picked him up thinking perhaps that he was a stray, we would ask you please please let him come back to his home and to let him do again the things he so loved to do.

There is a substantial reward for his safe return, with no questions asked. If you have any information that might be of help in returning Felix to us, please call 334-671-1990.
