I guess “King” Pat Thomas, the city manager and some of the commissioners have selective memories. Mayor Thomas made all these meaningless promises before he took office then, when he stuck it to us with the tax increase, he promised the schools more funding.

He hasn’t kept any of his promises. They have plenty of funds to give all of Thomas’s pet projects, but when it comes to your children’s education, also known as school funding, he’s holding that money hostage.

I guess he’s waiting for funds from Country Crossing to relieve the city of its responsibilities of funding schools. A swimming complex in beautiful downtown Dothan? Give me a break!
