There are only a few Democrats that I tip my hat to, Harry Truman being the chief among them. But I have to say I tip my hat to Hillary Clinton. She is one tough lady.

The insider Beltway pundits of Washington, D.C., try to tell us that the American people don’t want to see a good old political fight, but they are wrong. There is nothing like one, and Hillary is giving us one.

She quotes Harry Truman’s famous phrase, “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!” Speaking of the historically great President Harry Truman, we have to remember the political fight he gave us in 1948. Nobody believed Harry could win but Harry himself, and he did win — big!

Now we are told that Hillary can’t win the nomination and that she should gracefully exit the race. Hillary believes she can win and she is staying in the fight. Many Americans applaud her and love her for staying in the ring. In 1948, the battle cry was “Give ‘em hell, Harry!” I expect that will be replaced in 2008 with “Give ‘em hell, Hillary!”
