First Missionary Baptist Church, 311 W. Church St., Columbia, will hold revival services on Feb. 25-March 1 at 7 p.m. nightly. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Sam Jackson, pastor of Liberty Christian Church in Dothan.

A Ladies Power Lunch will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 12 to 1 p.m. in the fellowship hall at First Baptist Church, located at 302 N. Main St. in Enterprise. Speaker will be Mary Glynn Peeples from Birmingham. To reserve for lunch and child care, call 334-393-5683.

A Lenten worship and fellowship series is being hosted by Dothan area AME churches on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Each service will include praise and worship along with food and fellowship. The series will continue on Feb. 27 at Stringer Street, March 6 at St. Peter and March 13 at Parks Chapel.

The Elba Ministerial Association will hold its second Woods and Water Banquet on March 1 at Elba High School’s football stadium (if rain, event will be held in the gym). Gates open at 5 p.m. Entertainment will begin at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free, but attendees are asked to donate canned food to help re-supply Elba’s food bank. Guest speaker will be Rick Burgess of the syndicated Rick and Bubba show, and he will speak at 7 p.m. Door prizes will be drawn during the event. Concessions available. The ministerial association event is hosted by Elba First Assembly of God, Church of Christ, Westside Baptist, Elba Church of God, United Methodist Church and First Baptist Church.

First Assembly of God Church in Cottonwood will host a gospel sing on Saturday, March 2, at 6 p.m. Kay Armour and Walter Wilson will be ministering in song. The Dale Baptist Association will host the 2013 Ladies Retreat on March 2 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Ozark Baptist Church, located at 282 S. Ave., Ozark. This will be a covered dish event. Guest speaker will be Betty Baggott, a freelance writer, author and retreat leader. She wrote an inspirational column for the Alabama Baptist for 25 years and for the Dothan Eagle for eight years. The Grimes Gospel Lighthouse will feature Angella Arnold from Marianna, Fla., at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 2. An offering will be taken. Sunday church services will be at 10:30 a.m. Herbert Brady preaching.

The Dothan-Eufaula District of AME Churches will hold a mid-year convocation on Saturday, March 2, at Collins Chapel AME Church, 206 Morton St., in New Brockton. The district’s presiding elder will meet with pastors at 9 a.m., and worship services will begin at 10 a.m. The Rev. Frederick Walker, pastor of Grant Chapel AME Church in Ashford, will speak. St. Columba Catholic Church in Dothan will host the Light of the World Retreat on March 2 through March 4. Participants will learn about God’s plan for themselves and their response to his call. They will also have an opportunity to experience the sacraments in a close and personal way. Parishioners are urged to sign up early as space is limited.

St. Rose Missionary Baptist Church, County Road 33, Skipperville, will host its annual Men’s and Women’s Day program on March 3 at 2 p.m. Sister Mattie Rynn of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Eufaula will give the challenge, and the sermon will be delivered by the Rev. Dennis Blakely, pastor of Zion Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville.

The Fresh Grounded Faith Conference will be held Saturday, March 9, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Enterprise High School. Hosted by area churches in Florida, Georgia and Alabama, the conference is designed to provide women a way to connect with each other and empower them in their faith. The conference will be led for Jennifer Rothschild, founder of Fresh Grounded Faith. She will be joined by Candace Cameron Bure and Dara MacLean. First Baptist Church of New Brockton, 102 W. McKinnon St., will host its spring revival March 10-13. Service times will be 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday and 7 p.m. on Monday through Wednesday. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Ronnie Smith. Worship leaders will be Hal Yarbrough on Sunday and Wednesday, Tim Willis on Monday, and Lloyd Helms on Tuesday.

Rocky Mount Missionary Baptist Church, 457 County Road 42, Abbeville, will hold its annual Founder’s Day celebration on Sunday, March 17, at 2:30 p.m. Guest minister will be the Rev. Jimmie Fryer of Pine Hills Missionary Baptist Church in Phenix City.

The annual Abbeville area revival will be held March 18-22 at St. Peter Baptist Church, 120 Girard St., with services at 7 p.m. Guest evangelist will be the Rev. Randy Sewell, pastor of Little Rock Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Fla. Sponsoring churches include Bethlehem Baptist Church, Mary Magdalene Baptist Church and St. Peter Baptist Church.
