Team Endeavor of Lively Stones Ministries in Ozark will present a Thanksgiving gospel musical concert on Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. at the Daleville Cultural and Convention Center at 740 S. The Dothan-Eufaula District of AME Churches will hold its 2013 planning meeting and Thanksgiving worship services on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. at White Oak AME Church off Highway 431 in Eufaula. Speaker will be the Rev. Annie Mays, pastor of St. Paul AME Church in Sconiersville. All pastors and ministers will meet at 8:30 a.m. to make their reports, and spouses are invited to attend the regular meeting at 8:30 a.m. For more information, contact Presiding Elder David E. The Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2454 Andrews Ave., Ozark, will host its annual bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. A chili café will be available for dine-in and take-out meals, including chili dogs. Home baked goods, as well as specialty foods will be available. All crafts are handmade.

Grimes Gospel Lighthouse, 1512 County Road 25, Grimes, will host Swiftwater from Altha, Fla., at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16. An offering will be taken.

Christian Home Church on South County Road 61 in Hartford will host a gospel sing on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m. featuring The Thompsons from Sneads, Fla., and hosted by The Glovers.

New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 1110 Allen Road, Dothan, will celebrate its annual Harvest Day on Sunday, Nov. 17, at 2:30 p.m. Guest minister will be the Rev. Ronnie Porchia, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Bellwood.

St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, 120 Girard St., Abbeville, will celebrate the church’s 159th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 17, with a service at 3 p.m. Special guests will be the Rev. James C. Turner and the congregation of Greater St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.

Promise Land Church in Baker Hill will hold a service to celebrate the church’s anniversary on Nov. 17 at 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Pastor Rick Butler of Mount Level Baptist Church in Eufaula.

Balkum Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Headland (Brown Crossroads) will celebrate its annual usher’s anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 17, at 11:15 a.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Horace Mitchell.

St. Columba Catholic Church at 2700 W. Main St. in Dothan will host a series of Taize interfaith prayer services through May 2014 in the chapel of St. Columba. An Interfaith Thanksgiving worship service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1380 W. Main St., in Dothan. The service is open to the community and leaders of different area faith communities will be participating. All area clergy are invited to process into the sanctuary together. Participating clergy and congregations can have their names printed in the worship bulletin by e-mailing the Rev. Lynn Smilie Nesbitt at lynn@fumc.org by Thursday, Nov. 21. Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz will speak during the service and a free will offering will be taken to benefit the Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank. Refreshments will be served following the service.

Called Out People International Fellowship Ministries will present a Holy Ghost and Fire Camp Meeting on Nov. 21-23 at I Need Christ Ministries, located at 920 Blackshear St. in Dothan. The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville will host its annual Holiday Heritage Festival on Friday, Nov. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Historic Heritage Village. Artisans and craft makers will be demonstrating skills in making soap, blacksmithing, cane grinding, quilt making, and syrup making. Other hand-made crafts will include glasswork, pottery, basket weaving, ornament making, jewelry making and candle making. Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church, 2643 Murphy Mill Road, Dothan, will host a bingo event on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. to benefit the area’s homeless. It is free to play bingo, but a donation for the homeless will be accepted. There will also be food, drinks and raffle tickets for sale. Items needed include coats; shoes; socks, warm clothes for men and women; toiletries such as shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant and soap; non-perishable ready to eat food and can openers; polyester or quick-dry blankets; and backpacks.

Local churches will participate in Feeding the Multitudes, an annual outreach where churches provide food to families for Thanksgiving. Trinity Lutheran Church will hold its third annual Christmas Bazaar on Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be no admission charge and door prizes will be given. A variety of Wiregrass vendors will be selling art, quilts, jewelry, hand-crocheted scarves, baked goods and pepper jelly.
