Just a couple hours after a young hostage victim was rescued from an underground bunker where he had been held for seven days, residents gather at a nearby town square to give thanks.
On the Midland City town square, where nightly vigils had been held since the boy was kidnapped from a school bus after the driver was shot, dozens gathered to celebrate the boy's rescue.
Thomas Mabe, who said he is the uncle of Ethan, the boy who was kidnapped, thanked all those who showed up at the town square for their support and prayers.
"I've seen Ethan," Mabe said during the gathering around 6 p.m. "He's physically OK, but he has a long way to go."
