If you have outdoor plans on Saturday, you might want to keep a close eye on the forecast.
A strong storm system is currently predicted to affect the Wiregrass beginning on Saturday morning, and could lead to more heavy rain for the area.
The potentially severe weather is being ushered in by a cold front which will sweep through the region.
For Wiregrass residents there will be the potential for isolated tornadoes, particularly Saturday afternoon and evening, along with damaging winds and large hail. Rainfall from 2 to 4 inches from Saturday into Sunday morning is possible and could cause minor flooding in normally-flood-prone areas.
Depending on the amount of rainfall, area streams and rivers could return to action stage or minor flood stage by the middle of next week.
