A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Eufaula teen Tuesday afternoon.
State Trooper Sgt. Steve Jarrett, a spokesperson for the state Department of Public Safety, said Brittany Garrett, 14, of Eufaula was killed when the 1995 Ford Ranger pickup in which she was a passenger left the roadway and overturned.
The driver, Jamie Dean, 16, also of Eufaula, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
The crash occurred about seven miles south of Dothan on U.S. 231 northbound at approximately 2:25 p.m.
Jarrett said troopers continue to investigate.
