Road funding announced for Houston, Coffee counties

More than 300 additional road and bridge projects around Alabama were announced by Gov. Robert Bentley on Monday. The projects will cost close to $400 million.

The money comes from the Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program (ATRIP). Other projects were announced last year. Monday’s announcement brings the total number of roads and bridges included in the ATRIP program to 439 around the state.

ATRIP projects announced on Monday for the Wiregrass include, by county.
