According to a Dothan police statement, police arrested Starlena Latifa Frazier, of Wiggins Road, on Sunday, and charged her with felony first-degree domestic violence.
The charge originally stemmed from police responding to a vehicle crash in the 1000 block of Montgomery Highway. Police found the suspect and victim’s vehicles in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly grocery store with extensive damages.
The statement said police were told the Frazier and another woman’s vehicles entered the parking lot at high rates of speed. The victim ran into the store, followed quickly by Frazier, who then allegedly started assaulting her.
An investigator from the criminal investigation division responded and determined the offense to be a domestic complaint, which started nearby on Greentree Street.
Frazier was taken to the Houston County Jail and held on $5,000 bail. If convicted of the class A felony crime of first-degree domestic violence Frazier faces 10 to 99 years or life in prison.
