Houston County Schools to review badges policy

Houston County School Superintendent Tim Pitchford said the county will soon review new security policies it put in place this year, including a policy requiring students to wear identification badges.

The county implemented several enhanced security policies in the wake of the Sandy Hook school shootings, including stationing armed guards at the county schools and requiring students to wear identity badges to school, including elementary school students.
