A recent report shows that a record number of international students are studying in U.S. colleges and universities. Alabama is no exception to the trend, as international student enrollment has grown in the last few years.

The Institute of International Education and the U.S. State Department Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs have published a report saying that the number of international students studying in the U.S. has climbed to 819,644 in 2012-13, an increase of more than 55,000 students over the previous year. The report said the numbers of international students have been climbing for the past seven years.
