Faine Elementary students are getting lessons in preventing child abuse, learning what actions by adults are appropriate and which ones are not, thanks to presentations by the Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center personnel are visiting schools to teach children about child abuse and what to do if they are being physically or sexually abused. They’re also providing training to school personnel, who are required by law to report abuse to authorities.
