I am very concerned about the commissioners we are electing. Are they representing all the people?

One is running again, and thanks all the people who are there and those who are not there. Has he written everybody else off?

One who was defeated in the last election is talking about running again, but he says it’s time-consuming with phone calls, visits and meetings. Well, I lived in his district for six years and didn’t get one phone call or visit.

I have lived in District 6 for four years. No phone call and no visit from the old commissioner or the new one who is running for re-election. I saw his signs inside 231 near Westgate Park and one on the Ross Clark Circle near Olive Garden. I have seen no signs outside 231 in my area of Richland Estates, Westgate-Denton or Vaughn-Blumberg. I guess he has written that area off, too. Remember – we vote!

Why can’t they take a lesson from state Sen. Harri Anne Smith? The business people, attorneys and “money people” tried to vote her out, but everyday working, common people saw the handwriting on the wall and re-elected her.

My address is 3100 Hickory Hill Dr., and my phone is (334) 793-3373. It is in the phone book, too. I am home most of the time. I had a stroke in February and I am retired. I guess you think I can’t help you because I’m 75 years old with limited money, but I can give you some good advice.

Wake up, Dothan; it is not too late to turn this fiasco around.
