Mitchell Wayne Welch Mitchell Wayne Welch, age 60, a resident of Ashford passed away November 16, 2013 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Born March 10, 1953 in Dothan, Mitchell was the son of Johnnie Hubert and the late Verna Mae Welch. Mitchell was a loving husband, father, and paw-paw, brother and son. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, he retired from Yellow Freight System, he was an avid Alabama football fan, he enjoyed the outdoors, where he lived for fishing in the river, he also enjoyed playing golf. Visitation will be Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 1 to 2 P.M. at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. He is preceded in death by his mother, Verna Mae Welch; grandparents, John and Sallie Welch, Darby and Stella Cook, and infant brothers. Survivors include his wife, Ginny, Ashford; father, Hubert Welch and wife Janet, Ashford, AL; daughters, Beth White and husband William, Kristen Trimm and husband Rhett, Birmingham, AL.; son, David Roethler and wife Charae, Birmingham, AL; brother, Stevie Welch, sister, Sheila Butler and Mike Watson, Ashford, AL; grandchildren, Casey, Jordan, Will, Clara, Mason, Kendall, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral homes must submit obituaries,death notices and photos by 4:30 p.m. the day before the obituary is to be published. Obituaries are accepted only through funeral homes.

Photos: Dothan Eagle publishes photographs with its obituaries. The photograph must be delivered or e-mailed to the Eagle by 4:30 p.m. the day before the obituary is to be published. Label the name of the deceased on the back of the photograph exactly as the name will appear in the obituary.
