Tide notebook: Bama has dominated first half, Georgia has ruled second half

TUSCALOOSA – Alabama has feasted on opponents in the first half this season. Georgia has hit the accelerator after halftime.

The Crimson Tide has outscored its opponents 139-26 in the first quarter and 181-28 in the second period. Alabama coach Nick Saban said last week there isn’t a logical explanation to the Tide’s comparatively narrow 51-24 advantage over opponents in the third quarter.
