Johnson's audacity sparks legendary CVCC career

It only took a five-minute interview before Chattahoochee Valley Community College founder Dr. Ralph Savage hired B.R. Johnson in 1975 as his school’s baseball coach. Johnson says he knows why.

“I told him that I would win him a national championship in three years,” Johnson said, his sheepish laughter audible through the telephone. “Idiotic. But I really believed that I would.”
