Members of “The Filharmonic” a cappella group will be visiting Enterprise High School on Friday.

Los Angeles-based a cappella group “The Filharmonic” is gearing up to give Enterprise a taste of a cappella greatness.

The group will be visiting Enterprise High School’s Performing Arts Center for a special performance Friday evening beginning at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 and tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 or at the door for $15.

The Filharmonic began its rise to fame when competing on NBC’s a cappella competition show, “The Sing Off.” The five man group made it to the semi-finals of the competition and later joined The Sing Off’s national tour, eventually being featured in the film “Pitch Perfect 2” and becoming regular guests on “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” Members of The Filharmonic now spend their time traveling around the world and giving educational workshops on the intricacies of a cappella performances.

In addition to Friday night’s concert, the group will be performing a workshop Friday morning at Enterprise High School for EHS and other area music students.

EHS Choral Music Director Cameron Weiler said the school is thrilled to be hosting The Filharmonic for a second year and hopes to show Enterprise a little more about a cappella music.

“We are so excited to host this amazing group for the second year,” Johnson said. “The students learn so much from watching professional musicians, and The Filharmonic are also extremely passionate about educating the students. We hope everyone will take advantage of having this amazing group at the Enterprise PAC.”
