Enterprise High sets graduation policies

EHS Graduation map

Enterprise High School graduation will be Thursday, May 23, at 7 p.m., at Wildcat Stadium. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be delayed until 9 p.m. If postponement is necessary, graduation will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 24, in Wildcat Stadium. Weather updates will be posted on the Enterprise High School Facebook page.

Due to ongoing construction projects for family and friends of seniors, parking spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. EHS administration is encouraging attendees to carpool or ride shuttle, according to EHS Principal Brent Harrison.

Shuttle Buses will provide constant shuttle service from Bates Stadium to the EHS campus beginning at 5 p.m. for the general public. This same shuttle will run after the ceremony until all visitors are gone. Shuttle Capacity has been doubled this year.

The Enterprise High School Campus will be closed to the public until 5 p.m. All vehicles arriving before 5 p.m. will be required to park in the overflow lot beside the entrance on Main Street. Signage and Parking personnel will be posted. The stadium gates will open at 5:15 p.m.

Once campus parking is full, the campus will be closed at the main entrances and signs posted sending all remaining vehicles to Bates Stadium. Shuttles will constantly run and continue to carry students and guests the entire evening

The EHS Campus will close to all incoming vehicles at 7:45 p.m. during graduation and will only allow vehicles leaving until approximately 9:15 p.m.

All guest and visitor pickup/ drop off must be done at Bates Stadium. Graduating seniors should park or be dropped off at Bates Memorial Stadium between 4-4:45 p.m. The EHS Campus will not be open for drop off. Seniors should be in the gym at EHS by 5 p.m.

Handicapped parking is available from the bypass entrance only. Please have your handicapped placard visible upon arrival.

In the stadium, artificial noise makers, horns, backpacks, gym bags and folding or lawn chairs are not allowed. Balloons are allowed, but must be kept out of the seating areas.

“Also, please be respectful to all of the graduates of Enterprise High School and do not attempt to come down to the field until the ceremony is over,” Harrison said. “Each and every student and family has earned the right to hear their child's name called and see them walk across the stage without disruption. It is becoming more and more of a problem of families trying to exit the stands to walk to gates leading to field after their child's name has been called. All families will be allowed onto the field after the ceremony and will have plenty of time to take pictures and celebrate, so please stay seated until that time.”

The school building will not be open to the public on the evening of graduation unless inclement weather requires it to be.

The ceremony will be streamed live on the NFHS Network http://www.nfhsnetwork.com/schools/enterprise-high-school-enterprise-al.

DVDs recordings of graduation will be made available through EHS in early June. Please contact the school at 347-2640, or email jholley@enterpriseschools.net for more information.
