Registration is open for several Enterprise tennis tournaments coming up this week at Donaldson Park.
Hosted by the Enterprise Tennis Association (ETA), the tournaments are the Men’s Boll Weevil Classic, Women’s Boll Weevil Classic and the Inaugural Boll Weevil Classic.
According to Frank Zerbinos of the ETA, the tournaments are open to players of all skill levels and are events meant to encourage the growth of tennis in Enterprise.
Registration for the Men’s Boll Weevil Classic closes on June 26. Entry fee is $20 per person, with a $5 discount for members of the ETA. For the Women’s Boll Weevil Classic, registration closes on June 27 and prices are the same.
The Entry Fee and any donations will be in support of ETA’s Advantage Enterprise Program, an adaptive tennis program for area youth and adults. ETA is a non-profit organization that recently reached an agreement with the City of Enterprise to operate a tennis program in Enterprise.
Both tournaments will be doubles, round robin style play with awards for top players. Registration can be done through the mail or online by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. Register by providing your name, email address, phone number and an indication of skill level from these categories: beginner, intermediate and advanced.
Entry fees and forms can be mailed to P.O. Box 312474 in Enterpris,e or an entry check can be given to a coordinator prior to the tournament deadline, according to organizers.
Meanwhile, the ETA’ Inaugural Boll Weevil Classic is slated for June 29-30 and features both a boys and girls division, ages 10 through 18. Awards will be given for singles winner and finalists.
