The 16th annual Fort Rucker -- Wiregrass Area Job Fair will be held on July 31 at Enterprise State Community College from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Currently, there are 111 employers from around the country registered to attend with more than 6,200 available jobs. The job fair is open to the public, with an emphasis on assisting veterans. Veterans who attend will receive US flag stickers to be identified by employers easily.
The job fair is organized through a partnership among the Alabama Department of Labor, the Alabama Career Center System, Fort Rucker Army Community Service, Fort Rucker Soldier for Life, Southeast AlabamaWorks, and Enterprise State Community College.
For 16 years, the regional job fair has been hosted in communities throughout the Wiregrass and offered various jobs that include high-demand and high-wage salaries from recruiters with local and across the country companies. Job opportunities will be available in areas such as distribution, aviation, and manufacturing, as well as assisting those who are interested in continuing their military careers through military and civilian DoD contracts.
Interested attendees are encouraged to register prior to the event online at www.SoutheastAlabamaWorks.com to avoid delays at the facility. Registration will also be available onsite.
Those interested in learning how to better their resumé or interview skills may take a class provided by the Alabama Career Center and Ft. Rucker Army Community Service representatives for free in preparation for the event. Sessions will be offered at Enterprise State Community College in Room 105 of Talmadge Hall on Tuesday, July 16 and Tuesday, July 23. The morning session will begin at 10 a.m. and the afternoon session will begin at 1 p.m.
