Bernadette Garth is an eleventh and twelfth grade English Language Arts teacher at Enterprise High School.

She is 2013 graduate from Troy University with a BS in Secondary Ed./ELA and a 2018 graduate from Walden University with a MS in Integrating Technology in the Classroom.

What is the most challenging thing about your job today? “I never use the same lesson plans because I think of different ideas that may be better. That gets time consuming but I can’t help it.”

What do you like most about your job? “I love building relationships with my students and getting to know who they really are.”

Name three things you would like to see or do in your lifetime: “Learn Spanish, visit another country and get abs.”

Favorite music: “Whatever is on the radio.”

Favorite books: “Any young adult novels I can share with students.”

Favorite pastime: “Watching soccer.”

Talents: “Drawing and painting.”

Pet peeve: “Tooken is not a word – (use) take, took.”

Values most important to you: “Respect for all individuals is a big deal for me. Also, I think it is important to always believe in yourself and try to encourage others.”

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you? “Before people know me, they may think I’m a serious person, but I’m actually really silly.”

Family: Husband, Earl, son, Sabastian and daughter Sydney.
