Library holds summer ‘Space Camp’

Taylor and Christopher Enge dig for moon rocks and extract them with special “astronaut equipment.”

The Enterprise Public Library held a “Space Camp” for young readers as part of its “A Universe of Stories” summer reading program Thursday morning. Participants experienced a number of space-themed activities, including the Moon Walk.

Participants constructed rockets and excavated moon rocks with "special astronaut equipment."

The EPL will continue its space-themed activities until July, when the focus will shift to the centennial celebration of Enterprise's Boll Weevil Monument.
