Members of the 2019 Leadership Coffee County class decided to focus their fundraising efforts on the Enterprise Public Library, and those efforts paid off in a big way according to Enterprise Chamber of Commerce Director Erin Grantham.

To raise money for the library, the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce partnered with the library and Leadership Coffee County to host the “Lucky in Kentucky” fundraiser at the Enterprise Country Club on May 2.

The event raised $4,500.

“Our class this year chose a Kentucky Derby themed party, and the community showed its support for the library much more than we had anticipated,” Grantham said. “It is very heartwarming to see the effort the leadership class put into the project.”

Library Director Shelia Harris, who was part of this year’s Leadership Coffee County Class, said she was humbled by her class’s decision to focus their mandatory service project on helping the library.

Harris said the support from everyone has been amazing, and the funds will be used to help with numerous programs and expenses at the EPL.
