Sam Boswell Honda to hold flag retirement ceremony

Representatives from area Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, the Enterprise High School JROTC, and other military and civilian organizations participated in last year’s flag retirement ceremony, bringing down the worn flag with dignity and care.

With the recent observance of Memorial Day and July 4th looming on the horizon, the importance of the American flag is more evident now than ever for military servicemen and civilians alike. To honor the flag and keep the red, white and blue flying high above Enterprise, Sam Boswell Honda will be holding a biannual flag retirement ceremony Friday evening and is welcoming the public to attend the event.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m. June 14, the ceremony will feature representatives from Enterprise’s VFW Post 6683, the Wiregrass Wounded Veterans Committee, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 9, and the American Legion among other civic groups and organizations. A Quilt of Honor presentation is also scheduled to be part of the event.

For more information about the flag retirement ceremony, contact Sam Boswell Honda Marketing Director Ryan Saldana at 443-417-0404.
