EHS baseball headed to first round

The Enterprise Wildcats (17-18, 7-2) are entering the first round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association playoffs.

Enterprise will begin Class 7A postseason play today at Auburn High School (20-8, 5-1), the champion of Area 4. The first game is slated for 5 p.m., with the second following at 7:30 p.m.

A third game, if necessary, would be played on Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m.

The Wildcats finished runner-up in Class 7A, Area 3 after falling to Prattville (30-7) in both games of a doubleheader on April 18.

Should Enterprise emerge victorious, the team would play the winner of Baker vs. Fairhope, being played today at 4 p.m.

That round-two game would be slated for 5 p.m. on May 3.


The Enterprise Lady Wildcats (10-23, 3-3) are set to begin play the Class 7A, Area 3 tournament next week.

Hosted at Prattville High School, the tournament pits Enterprise against Jeff Davis on April 29 at 6 p.m.

Should the girls win the game, they would play the winner of Prattville vs. Lee at 4:30 p.m. on April 30. Should the girls lose the first game, they would fall to the losers’ bracket on April 29 at 7:30 p.m.
