Enterprise High School’s Lady Wildcats rebounded from Monday’s fourth-place finish in Prattville by winning the Lady Panther Invitational Tuesday in Phenix City with a team score of 261.

The Lady Cats defeated five other teams, including sectional foes Smiths Station, the tournament host, and Central-Phenix City.

Ashley-Sinclair Curtis was the medalist with a 78; Emelia Smith had an 80; Katie Smith recorded a 103 and Emily Yerman had a non-counting 109.

Miyeko Marden shot 116 playing as an individual.

“We won rather handily,” said EHS coach Rex Bynum. “But it was against much weaker competition.

“I was not pleased with the team score of 261. We can score better than that because we have already done so!

“I expect a better score in our next tournament, which is the two-day, March Madness Tournament in Birmingham hosted by Hoover High School.”
