Barbour County Board of Education members held their first meeting in two months on Monday, May 11 via Zoom with each board member signing in by either computer or cell phone.
TROY — David A. Mauldin of Eufaula was among the students recognized for outstanding achievements in academics at Troy University.
The possibility of classes at Admiral Moorer Middle School moving to a five-period day was met with some resistance Tuesday during a meeting of the Eufaula City Schools Board of Education, which happened to be held at AMMS with virtual capabilities.
Eufaula High School will have a formal graduation on Saturday, June 6, at 9 a.m. at Tiger Stadium.

OXFORD, MISS. — Matthew Paul Voors of Eufaula is among the more than 5,400 candidates for graduation who will be celebrated during a live, virtual celebratory event May 9.
Teachers at Barbour County Schools were not at their respective sites to receive recognitions from students and staff, but this being National Teacher Appreciation Week, they were honored.
