A memorial service will be held for Damon Bruce Methvin of Eufaula, Alabama, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 6th, 2019, in the Family Life Center of Eufaula First Assembly of God. Bruce was born in Eufaula on February 7, 1967 and died on Sunday, June 30, 2019. He was the son of the late Ray William and Jewel Baker Methvin. Bruce grew up in Edgewood and graduated from Eufaula High School where he played football and baseball. He was a member of Eufaula First Assembly of God. Bruce worked in construction for most of his life; and he lived in Massachusetts, North Carolina, Vermont, Florida and Georgia during his work travels before settling again in Eufaula. Bruce was an avid sports lover, a true Alabama football fan, a fisherman, and a hunter. He loved to be in nature, fishing and boating on the creeks and lakes of Barbour County and tramping through the woods and streams with his dog by his side. He treasured time with his family and friends, and he was devoted to those he loved. Bruce's smile, laughter, and tender heart will be missed. Bruce leaves behind his dearly loved children: Aidan Jacob Methvin, 24, of Austin, Texas; Logan Joseph Methvin, 9, of Ogden, Utah; and Lucy Jewel Methvin, 8, of Ogden, Utah. His sisters and their husbands: Melinda and Tony Grecco, Lisha and Victor Gonzalez, Sue Ellen and Greg Cawley, and Kathy and Randall Chancey grieve his untimely passing. Bruce is loved and mourned by his nieces and nephews: Brandy and Brent Daingerfield and their children Dennis and Belle, Justin and Rachel Lee and their daughter Reese, Charity Kelsey, Chelsey Cawley and her daughter, Savannah Rae, Ana Pardo, Ashley Klump, Danielle and Chris McKinley and their daughter Ayla.
