The Marianna Police Department has announced the arrest of Tony Lee Manning, 31, on multiple charges after a search of his residence near a city park revealed drugs and ammunition, according to a press release from the agency.
On May 31, MPD Investigators and officers served a narcotics search warrant at his home in the 2900 block of Harley Drive, officials said, adding that a municipal park sits at the corner of Harley Dr. and Old Cottondale Rd., which is within 1,000 feet of Manning’s residence.
“During the search a quantity of ecstasy was discovered in the kitchen of the residence,” the press release states. “The ecstasy was pressed into the shapes of a posing woman, YouTube logo, and the Superman logo. Manning stated he sells the ecstasy to buyers and depending on the buyer the price can fluctuate. Officers continued their search and found evidence that Manning was selling and/or distributing marijuana and cocaine. Officers also located boxes of live ammunition, which Manning cannot possess due to him being a convicted felon,” the release continued.
Tony Lee Manning was placed under arrest and booked into the Jackson County Corrections Facility on the following charges, according to the release: Sale/Distribution of MDMA (Ecstasy) within 1,000 feet of a municipal park; sale/distribution of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a municipal park; sale/distribution of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a municipal park; possession of ammunition by a convicted felon; and operating a narcotics dwelling.
