The Chipola baseball team hosts Gulf Coast today, in a 1 p.m. double-header with game two set for 4 p.m. The team travels to Gulf Coast, April 9, and to Tallahassee, April 12, before returning home to host Tallahassee, April 13, at 1 p.m. and Pensacola, April 15, at 5 p.m.

Chipola is second in the Panhandle Conference race at 9-4 behind Northwest at 13-3. Tallahassee is 4-8, Gulf Coast is 4-9 and Pensacola is 3-9.

The Indians won the first eight league games sweeping Tallahassee and Pensacola in four-game series. Chipola dropped the first three games of a four-game series with Northwest before winning at home 2-0 on April 2.

The conference race ends April 27 with the top two teams in the league making the state tournament. Chipola is the two-time defending national, state and Panhandle Conference champion.
