The Malone tigers lost to Bethlehem 66-62 in overtime Tuesday night at the 1A District 1 tournament.

The Tigers got off to slow start against the Wildcats with Bethlehem taking  a 15-11 lead in the first quarter but Malone quickly got up to speed and outshot them 18-16 in the second.

The Tigers took charge in the third and then they took a 46-41 lead. The Wildcats weren’t giving up; they rallied to tie things up 58-58 in the fourth to send the game into overtime.

Bethlehem was able to keep their momentum going and outscored the Tigers 8-4 to take the win and end Malone’s season.

The Tigers’ high scorers were Taylor Brown with 23 and Ocasio Murff with 16.
