JUNE 15

DANCE

“Dancing with the Stars – Dothan Style” will be held at the Dothan Civic Center on June 15. Doors open at 7 p.m.; show starts at 7:30 p.m. See local “celebrities” paired with dancers for an entertaining competition. Presented as a fundraiser by the Dothan-Houston County Substance Abuse Partnership. Tickets are $20 each. Visit www.dothanciviccenter.org for online purchases.

ART

Arts Alive, a series of art exhibits, will be held at the Spiritual Enrichment Center of Dothan during the month of June. Each Saturday in June, the chapel will be open as a gallery with work by church members and their families on display. Artist Jennifer Espy will be the featured artist for June 15. A reception with the artist will be held from 1-4 p.m. The center will be open daily from 1-4 p.m. for visitors to see the art. The Spiritual Enrichment Center is located at 942 S. Oates St.

JUNE 27

MUSIC

Music by Moonlight featuring Tri-State Community Orchestra will be held June 27 on the gazebo lawn at Landmark Park. Attendees are invited to bring a picnic and lawn chairs for the free concert. No pets or alcohol. The park’s Martin Drugstore and Shelley General Store will be open and selling refreshments.

JUNE 28

MUSIC

Under the Oaks concert series will be held in downtown Headland June 28 with a patriotic concert by Tri-State Community Orchestra. Concerts are free will be from 6-9 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Local restaurants will be open and food vendors will be located around the square. Other upcoming concerts include: July 26 with 225 Uptown Band; Aug. 23 with Heyword; and Sept. 27 with Fire Dogs.

JULY 13

MUSIC

Kings of Crunk 2019 Tour will be at the Dothan Civic Center on July 13 featuring rap and hip hop artists such as East Side Boyz, Pastor Troy, DJ Jelly, Bonecrusher, Trillville, Fabo and Holly Monroe. Show starts at 8 p.m. Ticket prices are $32.50 to $99. Visit www.dothanciviccenter.org for online sales.

JULY 16

THEATER

“Little Black Dress – The Musical” will be at the Dothan Opera House July 16. Doors open at 6 p.m. and show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25-$45. Visit dothanciviccenter.org for a link to buy tickets online. Part musical comedy and part improvisational theater, “Little Black Dress” is designed as a ladies night out production that follows two friends as they face life’s events – job interviews, dates, funerals – in their little black dresses.
