Foster Fest Street Festival will be held in downtown Dothan on Friday, June 7, from 6-10 p.m. The event, free to attend, features music on three stages, a car show and street vendors.
Arts Alive, a series of art exhibits, will be held at the Spiritual Enrichment Center of Dothan during the month of June. Painter Karen Hunter Watson and photographer Audri Scott Williams will have work on display June 8. Each Saturday in June, the chapel will be open as a gallery with work by church members and their families on display. A reception with the artist will be held from 1-4 p.m. with a different artist or artists highlighted each Saturday with the featured artists work remaining on exhibit for the next week. The Spiritual Enrichment Center is located at 942 S. Oates St.
“Forever First Lady” will be presented by Today’s Entertainment in the Dothan Civic Center on Sunday, June 9, at 7 p.m. The show tells the story of Michelle Obama, her life and becoming the First Lady of the United States. Music by Moonlight featuring Pontiac Stove Company will be held June 13 on the gazebo lawn at Landmark Park. Attendees are invited to bring a picnic and lawn chairs for the free concert. No pets or alcohol. The park’s Martin Drugstore and Shelley General Store will be open and selling refreshments.
“Dancing with the Stars – Dothan Style” will be held at the Dothan Civic Center on June 15. Doors open at 7 p.m.; show starts at 7:30 p.m. See local “celebrities” paired with dancers for an entertaining competition. Under the Oaks concert series will be held in downtown Headland June 28 with a patriotic concert by Tri-State Community Orchestra. Concerts are free will be from 6-9 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Local restaurants will be open and food vendors will be located around the square. Other upcoming concerts include: July 26 with 225 Uptown Band; Aug. 23 with Heyword; and Sept. 27 with Fire Dogs.
Kings of Crunk 2019 Tour will be at the Dothan Civic Center on July 13 featuring rap and hip hop artists such as East Side Boyz, Pastor Troy, DJ Jelly, Bonecrusher, Trillville, Fabo and Holly Monroe.
