Seattle City Council member Lorena González announces AG run

FILE - In this Jan. 30, 2017 file photo, Seattle City Council members Rob Johnson, left, M. Lorena Gonzalez, center, and Tim Burgess listen to a speaker during a Council meeting in Seattle. Council member González has announced she's running for attorney general. In a campaign video released Thursday Aug. 8, 2019, González cited her experience as a second-term at-large member of the city council and her previous work as a civil rights attorney. Unlike other potential candidates say they won't run if incumbent Attorney General Bob Ferguson ends up seeking re-election to his current post, González is making no such promises.
