An Andalusia man was arrested Thursday, June 13, after leading Andalusia Police on a chase and hiding inside a residence to avoid being arrested.
Christopher Terry Clifton, 42, of Andalusia, is charged with attempting to elude law enforcement and reckless endangerment, along with several other traffic citations.
APD Officer Lucas Maddox attempted a traffic stop on Clinton Road roughly at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, when Clifton managed to evade officers. A short time later, a 1999 Chevy S-10 Blazer which matched the description of the vehicle Clifton was driving was located just outside the city limits on Highway 55 South, said Andalusia Police Public Information Officer Allen Scofield.
An anonymous phone call led to officers locating Clinton hiding in a residence on Montgomery Street.
Clifton was transported to the Covington County Jail.
